Implementing Permissions Concept Requirements
Assigning clear authorizations to employees is not a sign of mistrust, but offers a high level of protection - both for the company and for the employees themselves. By assigning SAP authorizations on a role-specific basis, each employee is given access to the system according to his or her task.
Locking and validity of the user account is done through the user administrator and is also valid for other authentication procedures. This means that a login via SSO is not possible for an invalid user or a user with administrator lock. We therefore always recommend that you prevent access to the system by setting the validity of users. Setting validity on assigned roles also prevents the user from performing actions in the system, but does not generally prevent them from logging in.
Implementing the authorization concept in the FIORI interface
If you still have problems with the performance of the evaluation, despite the regular archiving and indexing of the modification documents of your user and permission management, this is probably due to the amount of central change documents. In this case, you also need an archiving concept for other key change document data. SAPHinweis 1257133 describes the procedure for creating such a concept.
If you want to cancel, share, or reset other users' jobs to scheduled status, you must have permission for the S_BTCH_ADM object with a value of Y. Alternatively, you can also grant the JOBACTION = MODI and JOBGROUP =
permission for the S_BTCH_JOB object. The MODI promotion was introduced with SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.00 or can be recorded via SAP Note 1623250. The following illustration shows an example of how the JOBACTION = MODI privilege is expressed for the jobs of the users listed under JOBGROUP.
For the assignment of existing roles, regular authorization workflows require a certain minimum of turnaround time, and not every approver is available at every go-live. With "Shortcut for SAP systems" you have options to assign urgently needed authorizations anyway and to additionally secure your go-live.
SAP Basis is the foundation of any SAP system. You can find a lot of useful information about it on this page: www.sap-corner.de.
Once you have identified the organisational features to consider, verify that you can redesign the existing roles so that the organisational features can be clearly maintained by use.
So much information... how can you keep it so that you can find it again when you need it? Scribble Papers is a "note box" that makes this very easy.
