Lack of know-how
Entry into role maintenance requires the transport permission (S_USER_AGR, ACTVT = 02) in addition to the modification permission (S_USER_AGR, ACTVT = 21). If role recording requires creating new transport jobs or tasks, you need permissions to the transport objects (e.g. S_TRANSPRT with TTYPE = CUST or TASK and ACTVT = 02).

Our example role MODELING makes it clear that it is possible to assign different types of privilege to a role. The SAP HANA Studio shows you in the administration interface which user (the so-called grantor) has assigned the respective privilege to this role (granted). By filtering and sorting, you can optimise the appearance of the role content. Depending on the type of privilege, you will be presented with the appropriate details by selecting an entry.
Lock Inactive Users
Which users have a specific role (PFCG)? To answer this question you start with the transaction PFCG - the mother of all transactions in the environment of SAP roles and authorizations. Select a role and click on the "Users" tab.

Authorizations in a company are usually not assigned to individuals, but to roles. A role describes jobs or positions within the organization. One or more persons can hold a role and thus have the access authorizations assigned to the role. The authorization profile (the number of authorizations) of a role contains all authorization objects that are required to execute the transactions. By means of a profile generator (transaction PFCG) the creation of the authorization profile can be automated in SAP.

However, if your Identity Management system is currently not available or the approval path is interrupted, you can still assign urgently needed authorizations with "Shortcut for SAP systems".

Developer authorizations for original SAP objects should therefore only be granted here upon request in order to avoid unauthorized modifications.

For this reason, tools for technical analysis must be used regularly to provide the status quo of authorization assignment and thus the basis for optimization.
