Authorization concepts in SAP systems
Permissions in the Permission Tree with status are only deleted if the last transaction associated with the permission has been deleted from the Role menu. Delete and recreate the profile and permissions All permissions are created anew. Previously maintained, changed or manual values will be lost and deleted. The exception here is the values that are filled by the organisation levels.
In the only method of the BAdIs, CHANGE_ITEMS, programme the necessary checks, such as on specific data constellations or permissions. These can refer to all fields in the FAGLPOSX structure. You do this by specifying that all lines for which the test was not successful will be deleted during the execution of the method. This implementation of the BAdIs complements the Business Transaction Event 1650 described in the second example. You can also use the FB03 transaction to display receipts in the same way that you implement the FB03 filter. In this case, implement the required checks in the BAdI FI_AUTHORITY_ITEM.

Wildgrowth of characters used in user IDs can have negative effects. Set a bar on it by limiting the character set in the first place. In the SAP system, depending on the release of the SAP_BASIS software component, you can create users whose names may contain "alternative" spaces. In Unicode systems, there are different spaces, which are represented by different hexadecimal values. The usual space has a hexadecimal value of 20, but there are alternative spaces (wide spaces), which can be recognised, for example, as double width or not at all as character spacing. You can use these alternate spaces when entering the user ID by pressing the Alt key. For example, the key combination (Alt) + 0160 can create a space with a non-breaking space. You can also create a user whose ID consists only of alternate spaces. Users with such IDs will write all change documents, but the IDs can still cause confusion if, for example, they are not recognisable as a user ID or if it appears that no user is displayed for the change document. In addition, certain special characters may cause problems in other applications (e.g. in transport management). Therefore, we will show you how to prevent such problems by limiting the character set.
However, you can also use the proof of use in the authorization object maintenance to search for specific implementation sites. To do this, open the authorization object in the SU21 transaction. Open the proof of use via the button and a pop-up window appears for querying usage modes (for example, using the affected authorization object in programmes or classes). After making your selection in the Usage Proof, all of the affected implementations will be tabulated. Double-click to access the relevant code locations.
During go-live, the assignment of necessary authorizations is particularly time-critical. The "Shortcut for SAP systems" application provides functions for this purpose, so that the go-live does not get bogged down because of missing authorizations.
Various solutions are offered on the market that offer this functionality in the same or similar form.
In the TPC6 transaction, set the periods to be reviewed.
